Osteria Shanghai has developed an exciting hospitality internship with some of the top hotels and restaurants in Shanghai & Beijing. This is your opportunity to embark on the food journey of your life in one of the most exciting places in the world!
We can provide work experience of 6 to 9 months for young cooks & waitstaff looking for an adventure in China. After a successful internship, there will be opportunity for a one year job placement in China.
Here is how it works:
- The internship is minimum 6 months, available year round – we are looking for everyone from cooks, front of house staff, sommeliers, bakers, pastry chefs and baristas!
- The intern is to provide his/her own transportation to China, however at the end of placement we will reimburse the full cost of the air ticket.
- We will provide the placement, lodging and access to a phenomenal network in China’s hospitality industry.
- The Experience: work in a Western restaurant, 6 days per week and 8 hours each shift, plus optional work experience at an local Chinese kitchen for a culinary culture exchange
- The Bonus: Upon completion of a 9 month internship, the intern will be rewarded with an all expense paid culinary tour of some of China’s top food cities! (value 5000 RMB)
We want to cultivate cooking talent in China, and hope this can be a rewarding experience for that becomes a full-time job placement.
